Invitation
Come only if you are seriously considering building a product with agentic coding — and turning it into a business. This is a working room for people who intend to ship and earn.
📌 This is a KICK-OFF, not a one-off. We'll keep meeting at least every other week for the next three months. Please RSVP only if you can commit to showing up.
⌨️ BUILDERS ONLY ⌨️
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is collapsing entry-level hiring and, at the very same moment, making it genuinely possible for a solo builder to earn real revenue. This session takes that contradiction seriously — from a founder’s perspective, grounded in the latest employment data.
A year of agentic coding tutoring proved builders can ship. What turns a shipped app into a business is domain insight — and that’s what AI Nexus’s vertical experts bring. This session is where the two meet.
- Date: 11-Aug-2026 (tue)
- Time: 6pm-8pm PDT
- Meals: Working session — no dinner served, so please eat beforehand or bring your own
- Venue: The Ranch - 249 Palm Ave, Morgan Hill, CA 95037
- Capacity: 30 people only — RSVP required

What We’ll Cover
Defining the problem with data
The labor structure has shifted. Early-career hiring is shrinking fast, while the economics of the one-person builder have never been better. We’ll define the problem using the most recent employment data rather than anecdote!
A structural response — plus real case studies
Not motivation. Mechanics! What we’re building to address the shift, and what has actually worked so far.
Why now — and why with AI Nexus
Over the past year or so, we piloted agentic coding tutoring, and one thing became unmistakable: a lot of people can genuinely benefit from this. People who had never shipped anything were suddenly shipping.
But we also learned where the ceiling is.
Agentic coding solves the building problem. It does not solve the what-to-build problem. A working app is not a business. What turns one into the other is domain insight — knowing which problem in a specific industry is painful enough that someone will pay to have it solved.
That insight doesn’t come from better prompting. It comes from people who have spent fifteen years inside healthcare, semiconductors, law, finance, or manufacturing.
Which is exactly who fills the AI Nexus Community.
So this is the collaboration: Sunbay brings the build infrastructure and a year of hard-won lessons. AI Nexus brings the vertical experts. Put a builder and a domain expert in the same room, and you get something neither could produce alone — a commercialized product with real revenue behind it.
That’s the thesis we’re testing on August 11th, with 30 people.
Introducing Sunbay
Sunbay is an AI builder studio, led by Korean senior professionals who built their careers in Silicon Valley.
Builders don’t build alone. Seniors and fellow builders create together and go to market together. It’s a community as much as a studio.
Two tracks are planned. The Builder Track is our current focus.
Builder Track
For people holding down a job and building their own product with AI on weekends. Sunbay provides the US entity, App Store presence, accounting, deployment infrastructure, and anonymous publishing — with revenue shared between the builder and the studio.
Trainee Track
For juniors and students locked out by the experience requirement. Ship real products inside the studio’s infrastructure, build a portfolio, and bridge into employment or into the Builder Track.
Who Should Come
Come if you are:
- Employed and building on the side — you have a product in progress (or a serious intention to start one) and want it to make money
- A founder or aspiring founder using agentic coding as your primary build method
- A domain expert in a vertical — healthcare, legal, finance, manufacturing, education — who wants to pair that expertise with builders
- Seriously evaluating whether the solo-builder path is viable for you
FAQs
A few questions have already come in — here are the answers.
Q1. Will all the meetings over the three months be held in Morgan Hill, or is this location for the kick-off only?
Only the kick-off on August 11th will be held in Morgan Hill. The venues for subsequent meetings are yet to be determined.
Q2. Do I need to bring a business idea?
No. A business idea is not required to attend.
Q3. Will future meetings be online or offline?
Going forward, there will be two kinds of meetings: team meetings and all-hands meetings. Each team will decide its own schedule and format — online or offline, both work. The format of the all-hands meetings will be decided together at the kick-off.
Q4. Can I join online from Korea?
Most likely difficult — but we will discuss it together at the kick-off.
Why AI Nexus Is Hosting This
AI Nexus exists to Explore & Lead, Elevate Community, and Give Back to Society.
A 30-person working room serves those pillars differently than a 100-person forum does. Small enough that everyone talks. Focused enough that people leave with collaborators, not just notes.
If AI is reshaping how careers and labor work, our community shouldn’t just discuss it — some of us should be building the alternative.
See you on August 11th.
Our sincere thanks to Jay Wonpyo Lee for generously hosting us at The Ranch.
Best regards,
AI Nexus Committee
